The iGaming company said it is actively seeking seven additional tech recruits to complete its internal technology transformation.

The expansion represents part of a broader growth initiative that has seen QiH Group hire 32 new employees over the past 12 months.

The hiring surge has prompted the company to relocate to larger headquarters in London to accommodate its expanding workforce.

QiH Group, which counts major operators Flutter and Entain amongst its client base, began establishing a C-level management structure in 2023, creating senior positions across operations, marketing and finance.

The most recent addition to this leadership team was chief technology officer Sachin Saxena (pictured), who ed from digital health company Congenica in September 2024.

QiH moves tech capabilities in-house

Saxena has been tasked with overseeing the transition from outsourced to in-house technology capabilities, working alongside senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Saxena said: โ€œItโ€™s no simple feat overseeing the change management process that is necessary to move from fully outsourced to completely in-house tech capacity, but the most important aspect of that is the people.

โ€œWe really needed to find the right people fit culturally and experientially and we needed to do it efficiently.

โ€œSo far, weโ€™ve employed nine engineers, and are actually looking for a further seven tech team at a minimum,โ€ he said.

Saxena highlighted ongoing recruitment challenges facing the technology sector, particularly the talent shortage that emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He added: โ€œRecruiting into the iGaming industry has been really interesting, mainly because for a lot of people, betting and gaming just isnโ€™t a sector weโ€™d considered previously. Since ing six months ago, Iโ€™ve been fortunate enough to learn what a fascinating industry it is, and to convey that to potential new hires.โ€

The companyโ€™s emphasis on career progression forms a key part of its recruitment strategy.

Saxena continued: โ€œHR isnโ€™t an afterthought for QiH, which is evident in policies, procedures, flexible working arrangements and from internal promotion โ€” for example, our COO, Andrew Lee, started his career in iGaming 10 years ago with QiH and now heโ€™s at C-level as a decision-maker. So the upward mobility that QiH provides is a big selling point.โ€
